meg-gar makes top quality magazines and are the OEM manufacturer for many brands including Browning. The aftermarket meg-gar blued magazines have a durable, slick finish that is superior to factory Browning finishes in my opinion

I have a number of the Mec-Gar magazines as well as original ones shipped with the pistol (T-series HP) and military magazines. They all function flawlessly. The difference is new Mec-gar magazines do not cost an arm and a leg!

Best BHP mag available! (18.11.2015)

WOW! The finish is by far better than any of my other BHP mag's. It is high polished blue and seems to be coated with a very glossy slick coating. They feed into the gun extremely smooth. They feed HP bullets (and FMJ/FP) EVERY time in a 1970's Hi Power that has never had the feed ramp altered. They add 2 rounds, greatly improving the gun for carry or competition. I have bought a bunch of them and dumped my originals into the misc. bin. I'll never use anything else but these. AND, the price is very reasonable!

Nice Magazines. Function flawlessly out of the box. Ran them hard without any problems.

Could only get 14 rounds in each magazine however.

After ordering one only and complete and thorough testing, I ordered two more. These three (15) round mags will be used in a defensive backup gun. In all test procedures the mag has functioned flawlessly.

Perfect metal finish, deep rich blue and well marked. Very slick and smooth inside so no hangups. Great magazine.

These mags work perfectly. Only difference in function from the factory mag is the lack of spring located near the bottom of the mag to help with magazines dropping free. These mags do not drop free(I believe due to the safety that requires the mag to be installed for the pistol to be fired). They are well built and work flawlessly but you will need to pull them from the mag well.

Fantastic in any era Hi Power! (08.01.2017)

Flawless performance, and looking at the newer Hi Powers made for Browning at FN in Belgium, I suspect this company makes their factory mags. I insist on Mec-Gar even over factory mags, which much of the time are made by Mec-Gar. Mec-Gar just gets it right the first time, and I seem to get perfection right out of the box, no bending, reforming, or tweaking anything. THEY JUST WORK!

Excellent magazines; top notch! (30.06.2018)

I am a retired police officer/SWAT cop/firearms instructor. I carry a Browning Hi Power every day for my self defense pistol. (It does not have a magazine disconnect.) These 13 round magazines are superior to the factory Browning magazines. Fit and finish are excellent. They load easily. They feed 124 and 147 grain hollowpoints flawlessly. They fall free from the pistol. They lock the slide back every time. I use them in place of the factory magazines. I cannot praise these magazines enough.
