Clearly Marks Rifle As Unloaded; Ejects When Bolt Is Charged
Safety orange, plastic flag clearly indicates, either close up or at a distance that there is no ammunition in the chamber. Ideal for range and classroom safety when identifying that a weapon is clear is of utmost importance. Safe-Port cannot be placed in chamber if there is a round loaded, but can be used when a loaded magazine is in the rifle and will eject from the chamber when the bolt is charged. Safe-Port can be marked with serial numbers for ease of identification in storage.
SPECS: Plast, sikkerhetsoransje. Passer til AR-15/M16 rifler.

WILL NOT FIT!!(05.04.2012)
This is a good idea but a huge fail for me. I bought one and it will NOT fit in two rifles I tried it in. One being a factory stock Colt 6933 and the other a JP15. Its going back. The thing would NOT fit thru the upper opening on either rifle. Looks like it might be a good idea but a total fail in the real world for me. Back to the design table Brownells and make sur it fits into the upper. The whole thing seems to be oversized. Really wanted it to work and am major ticked that it wont fit in either rifle.
Good to go!(09.11.2013)
We keep our AR15 Patrol Rifles secured in the trunk safe's of our cruisers with a loaded magazine inserted in the mag well and the bolt closed on the Safe Port device. Constant training with this device has proven that these work. The spring tension is enough to kick it loose from the ejection port when the bolt is cycled and has never got in the way of allowing the bolt to strip, chamber and close on the first round from the magazine. It's a great device to show that even with the magazine in the well, their isn't a round in the chamber because the device wouldn't fit if there was. Of course when we clear our rifles, we always perform the proper procedure to clear when needed. It works!
"meh."(25.02.2014)
I cannot comment on LEOs who drive about with ARs positioned at the ready. I don't anymore, but they do. So with that in mind, my buddy best summed this up with, "meh." when he ops tested it.
A little pricey, and not that much added utility for a self-clearing chamber flag. I'll use it; and it works fine, but there are suitable alternatives that are better priced.
I'm grading this as "not recommend to a friend" but that is a bit harsh. I simply would not recommend it under my known conditions.
