No more Failure to Fire(13.01.2013)
Eliminate Failure to Fire in 7.62x39 upper with TULAmmo, and Chiappa .22 upper with remington ammo. Had Bushmaster lower parts kits. Heavier hammer was not required
Never misfire again(18.04.2016)
I first tried this spring in a AR 10 I built a few months back and the original would not fire a single factory load. I installed the spring and never misfired again. I had a 5.56 that I built and it occasionally would misfire. So I broke it down in the field and installed the heavy spring and had the same great results. The gun functioned perfict every time.
Made Improvement(04.07.2017)
Helped out my 7.62x39 upper. Just realize a side effect is that the bolt will be harder to pull back. Enough of difference that my wife and kid complain about it.
AF15 with milsurp 5.45(11.08.2010)
I shoot milsurp 5.45 Russian ammo in my AR-15, and the hard primers caused between 3 to 5 unfired rounds per mag using the stock hammer spring. This Wolff spring gave me 3 unfired rounds in my last 40 to 50 mags with no other changes.
Does work for AR15 Timney triggers(20.10.2010)
Tried this on my timney trigger after getting light strikes on primers and the spring is too large.
Significant reduction in misfires(02.04.2011)
I was experiencing a 30% misfire rate (6 out of 20) with steel-case ammo in my 7.62x39 custom AR15. Installing this spring helped significantly to reduce misfires.
Heavy Weight Hammer Spring(19.06.2011)
Harder to install because of the heavy spring but works like a champ and something needed for my AR 7.62x39.
Buying another for next build(22.06.2011)
Was having about one out of three "no fires" on my 7.62x39 with steel ammo. This completely cured the problem. Still had a feed problem with all brands of mags, so I alternated brass and steel rounds in my mags, and now all problems gone. Works like it should, no jams or no fires.
Greatly Reduces Lock Time(03.10.2011)
These heavy weight hammer springs greatly reduce lock time in competition rifles. Replace your after market (RRA etc.) hammer spring with one of these. Your scores will go up, especially in off hand!
Great for your .50BMG lower(19.03.2012)
This was exactly what was needed for my lower that I used for a BOHICA .50BMG upper.
Completely fixed my problem!(04.10.2012)
I was having a problem with light strikes when I bought a new upper in 7.62X39. I was using a DPMS lower and some wolf ammo. I know this ammunition has hard primers but my Colt had never had an issue. I replaced the factory spring with this Wolffe heavy weight hammer spring and problem solved!
Reduces lock time.(19.11.2012)
It's physics. If the hammer spring is heavier, the hammer will move more quickly. If you do ANY amount of shooting off-hand/standing/kneeling/sitting (or even prone) past 50 yards, your accuracy will benefit from this hammer spring.
It ever-so-slightly increased the trigger pull on my ALG ACT trigger, but I tried a Tubbs CS trigger spring and a JP reduced-power trigger spring and both combinations brought the trigger pull back down to noticeably lighter than how the trigger came from the factory. The ACT is BUTTER SMOOTH and top-notch. If your trigger is even slightly gritty (most are), you won't even notice a difference in the trigger pull.
I don't have any exact numbers for group sizes, but my group sizes, standing at 50 yards, during my agency's carbine qual shrank considerably when using this hammer spring. The audible 'whack' of the hammer hitting the firing pin/rear of the bolt carrier is noticeably louder using this spring. If your current hammer spring is very worn/weak, you'll even notice the increased strength when you pull on the charging handle.
This also offers insurance against light primer strikes whent he weapon is dirty/fouled. There is no downside. A solid value.
And, it's made from Wolff's proprietary 'rocket wire' steel alloy. They use a special heat-treat process for the metal, after winding the spring. They then coat the surface with a protectant; I've never seen a Wolff spring rust (even when shooting thousands of rounds of corrosive ammo in an AK47/74). It costs more than the el-cheapo parts beacuse YOU'RE GETTING MORE. :)
Fixed CMMG .22LR Conversion Problem(15.05.2013)
I had about 80% of rounds fail to fire using my CMMG .22LR conversion bolt. This spring brought that rate down to around 3%.
Will fix the problem(20.03.2016)
This spring will fix any light strike problem you are having with 7.62x39 AR upper. Tested on many different types of ammo, and none failed to fire after installing. I would also recommend you change out the firing pin to an enhanced firing pin, this combo works.
GOOD PRODUCT, GREAT RESULTS.(03.05.2017)
i HAD PUT TOGETHER AN AR-10 BUT ON A TEST FIRE (USING GERMAN MILITARY SURPLUS AMMO) THE PRIMERS WERE ONLY DIMPLED A BIT. i ORDERED WOLFE HAMMER SPRINGS AND PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. I BOUGHT A COUPLE EXTRA AS BACK UPS OT FOR OTHER FUTURE BUILDS.
SHIPPING WAS ALSO VERY QUICK.
Immediately solved my light strike no pr(23.09.2017)
I built a budget ar and it immediately started misfiring. I put a wolf buffer spring in and this wolf extra strength hammer spring and problem solved. It instantly became completely reliable. No more problems runs like a top.
