The Magpul Zhukov-S Stock is a no-compromise folding stock for the modern AK. The Zhukov-S Stock casts aside traditional AK stock shortcomings and offers a folding, collapsible stock with QD sling mounts, modular Cheek Risers (sold separately), 5-position telescoping and a shock-absorbing rubber butt-pad for superior traction. The Zhukov has right-side folding for compatibility with side-mounted optics. Excellent product (09.06.2015)

This took a few minutes to install on an Arsenal AKM after removing the front band on the rifle. Directions were clear and easy to follow.

After installation the benefit is easy to see from the new ergonomics given being able to extend support arm way further. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their rifle. It looks and feels great

Works well in DDI (27.10.2016)

Well done Magpul. I picked up a new DDI stamped AK with the regular poly furniture knowing I wanted the magpul upgrade. This 3 screw system was very easy to install (10min for me being a new to AK's) and after now 430 rounds is rock solid. The feel on the shoulder is much better than the stock it came with. Grey looks great. Highly recommended and worth the price.

Great Stock (17.05.2015)

The stock was very easy to install with the instructions that came with it. It seems very sturdy for the AK platform and should last a long time. The only downside that I have with this stock is that the length adjustment on the stock I received is very hard to pull out to adjust the length...I am thinking it is something that will free up with use though.

Sgt. Cav. Just got this stock about an hour ago, It is already on my AK 74, Great shipping time.

This has to be one of the best after market add on I have seen, It looks like it belongs on the rifle, Matches the finish, Went on with no problems, No wiggles, no shakes, Opens and closes easily, I couldn't be happier with this if I had designed it my self.

Yes do not be afraid of this product, Typical Magpul quality, and typical Magpul move up in functionality as I said at the top, High Speed, Low Drag, Not a Kludge blob of plastic that looks like it been added on as an afterthought.

This stock is great. It installed easily without any modification and is built like a tank. Another innovative and impressive product from Magpul. If you want an easy to install tough as nails folding stock for your AK then buy this stock. I will be putting this stock on the rest of my AK rifles very soon.

I bought this product from Brownells to replace the stock on my 84S (Chinese AK clone in 5.56 cal). Right out of the box I was impressed by the quality and features of the stock, and it displayed the quality that I have come to expect from Magpul products. However, if you are buying this to install on a Chinese rifle such as a MAK-90 or Type 56S, be aware that some modification of the stock will be necessary, as the Chinese AK rifles have a longer tang and different bolt spacing than European Comm-Bloc rifles. Ten minutes with a Dremel and needle file and I was in business. The stock locks up tight, and the spring detent that keeps it in the folded position is a nice touch. Overall it is the best option for a folding stock that I have found for the AK, as it does not require modification to your weapon.

Makes for a nice looking AK. (28.01.2016)

This is the one to use with a Century Arms C39V2 - not the model that is for a milled stock. You want this Magpul M585 and not the M552. Just a few taps with a rubber hammer and it fits tight as can be, due to the way Magpul molded two thin strips of plastic on each side of the end piece. Two provided hex head screws are then installed through the tang that are machined into the end of the milled receiver. Nice and tight locking in either the folded or extended position.

Easy, fast install for anyone. Minimal room to slip trigger finger btwn folded stock and trigger guard. MUCH more comfortable to shoulder for us six-foot-plus guys than the factory stock when extended.

Really wanted to like this (11.09.2018)

Put it on my Saiga AK, which was easy, but was just cumbersome. When folded, yeah it can be shot, but pushes your hand down and operating the charging handle is difficult. Maybe for a left handed shooter this would be great, but for 90% of us it sucks. The stock doesn't line up flush with the receiver, so your hand rubs against the receiver. Otherwise high quality and comfortable when not folded.
